Data Deletion
This page explains how BIOME users can delete their account and request deletion of personal data associated with the BIOME mobile application.

1. Delete your BIOME account
In-app method:
1. Open BIOME on your iOS or Android device.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Select Delete account.
4. Confirm account deletion.
What happens after account deletion:
- Your BIOME account is deleted or deactivated.
- You are signed out of the app.
- Your personal data associated with the account is deleted or anonymized from active systems, unless retention is required or permitted for legal, security, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or technical reasons.
The data queued for deletion may include:
- account data;
- Health Map data;
- goals;
- AI chat messages;
- AI-generated recommendations and risk insights;
- nutrition diary data, food photos, and manual food entries;
- uploaded files and interpreted data;
- lab test interpretations;
- challenge progress;
- imported wearable or health-service data;
- push notification tokens;
- other personal data linked to your BIOME account.
BIOME will delete or anonymize personal data from active systems within 72 hours after account deletion, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law or for legitimate security, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes.
Backup copies may remain for a limited backup retention period and are deleted according to BIOME's backup rotation procedures. Backup data is not used for normal app operation.
2. If you cannot access the app
If you cannot access the app, send an email to gorozhankin@biome-aiapp.com from the email address linked to your BIOME account.
Use the subject line:
Delete my BIOME account
Include:
- the email address linked to your BIOME account;
- your name or nickname as shown in the app, if available;
- an approximate date of your last login.
BIOME may need to verify account ownership before processing the request. After verification, BIOME will delete or anonymize the account data within five business days, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
3. Reset chat without deleting your account
If available in the app, you may reset your BIOME chat without deleting your account.
What is erased:
- chat messages between you and the AI coach;
- AI-generated responses linked to those messages;
- recommendations tied only to the deleted chat context, where applicable.
What may remain:
- your account credentials;
- basic profile details;
- Health Map data that you chose to keep;
- nutrition diary data, challenge progress, wearable data, subscription status, and other app data not included in the chat reset.

4. Revoke access to Apple Health, Google Fit, Google Health, Health Connect, or similar services
You can revoke BIOME's access to health and fitness data through your device settings or through the relevant health service settings.
After access is revoked, BIOME will stop receiving new data from that service. Data previously imported into BIOME may remain in your BIOME account until you delete the account or request deletion of the imported data.
5. Deleting the app
Deleting the BIOME app from your device does not automatically delete your BIOME account or data stored on BIOME servers.
To delete your account and associated server-side data, use the in-app account deletion function or contact BIOME by email as described above.
